Ingredients for Shrimp, Pumpkin And Malabar Spinach Recipe

  • As required Garlic paste
  • 4 Onions
  • 500 gram Dry shrimp
  • As required Malabar spinach
  • As required Green chili paste
  • As required Cooking Oil
  • As required Turmeric powder
  • As required Salt

Directions: Shrimp, Pumpkin And Malabar Spinach Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Start with segregating the leaves from the stems. Then cut the leaves and the stems into small drumsticks. Wash the sheets and the drumsticks thoroughly.

  • STEP 1.Meanwhile, take 500gms dry shrimp and soak them in lukewarm water for 15-20mins. Now with the help of the boti cut the pumpkin into dices and remove the hard outer skin. Also, wash the small dice.

  • STEP 1.After 20 mins drain the water from the dry shrimp and make a semi-paste of them with the help of shil-nora. Also, make a paste of cumin seed, green chili paste, and garlic paste (all about 2tsp).

  • STEP 1.Chop the 4 onions and wash them. Start with heating 7-8tsp cooking oil in a kadai.

  • STEP 1.Add the chopped onion and fry them until translucent. Now add the green chili paste, cumin paste, and garlic paste, saute them.

  • STEP 1.Later add the turmeric powder and salt to taste and saute them again. Add the dried shrimp paste and mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

  • STEP 1.Add some water and mix them. Now add the diced pumpkin and stir them until the pumpkin becomes a little soft. Now add some more water and malabar spinach, mix them well with the gravy.

  • STEP 1.Keep stirring all the ingredients thoroughly, wait for the malabar spinach to lose its moisture. Now add more 1 cup water, give it the right stir and cover it for 8-10mins.

  • STEP 1.After 10 mins the water will dry (if not keep mixing them and the water will eventually dry up). Once the water is dried, it becomes thick. Our dish is ready.

  • STEP 1.Serve it with steamed rice.
