Ingredients for Shrimp Garlic Akara(Bean Cake) Recipe
2 cup black eyed peas
2 Nos habanero pepper
4 cloves garlic
1/4 cup red and green bell pepper
1 Nos onion
As required Salt
1 Nos stock cube
1/4 cup Water
1 pound Shrimp
As required Oil

STEP 1.Soak black eyed beans in water for about an hour
step 2
STEP 2.Peel off the skin off the beans by blending them,followed by rinsing 4-5 times.

STEP 3.After peeling off the beans,blend it along with 2 habanero peppers,onions,garlic cloves and some water.

STEP 4.Take out the blended paste in a bowl and whisk it until it becomes light and fluffy.

STEP 5.Then add some salt,seasoning powder and whisk it again.

STEP 6.Now add the chopped onions,bell peppers and mix thoroughly.

STEP 7.Add boiled shrimps into the batter and mix gently.

STEP 1.Add enough oil in a cooking pot for deep frying. scoop out the batter, with one shrimp at least with the help of a scooper.

STEP 1. Now pour the scooper in the pot and fry the balls until golden brown.
