  • 1/4 tablespoon Olive Oil

  • 1/4 Carrots, Diced

  • 0.13 can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 0.13 cup Beef Broth
  • 0.06 cup Red Wine
  • 0.13 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 0.13 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • As required Salt And Pepper, To Taste
  • 1.50 Lasagna Noodles, Cooked According To Package Instructions
  • 1/4 cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 0.06 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 0.13 Egg
  • 1/4 tablespoon Chopped Fresh Parsley
  • as needed Fresh Parsley, For Garnish

Directions: Short Rib Lasagna Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Preheat the oven to 350掳F (175掳C).
  • STEP 2.In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the short ribs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the short ribs from the skillet and set aside.
  • STEP 3.In the same skillet, add onions, carrots, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
  • STEP 4.Return the short ribs to the skillet and add tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, beef broth, red wine, and herbs. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 hours, until the short ribs are tender and the sauce has thickened.
  • STEP 5.Remove the short ribs from the sauce and shred the meat. Discard any excess fat or bones.
  • STEP 6.In a separate bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  • STEP 7.Spread a thin layer of the tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Layer with lasagna noodles, shredded short ribs, cheese mixture, and more tomato sauce. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of tomato sauce.
  • STEP 8.Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until the lasagna is bubbly and golden on top.
  • STEP 9.Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
  • STEP 10.Serve the Short Rib Lasagna hot and enjoy!
