A mughlai dessert served during Eid .Sheer Khurma recipe also called Sheer Korma is a rich Mughlai dessert of vermicelli pudding made during the festive occasion of Eid ul-Fitr. Sheer khurma is made with milk, vermicelli, dates, nuts, and sugar. In the Persian language ‘Sheer‘ means milk and ‘Khurma‘ is dates.

  • 50 gram sev
  • 1 L milk
  • 40 gram Ghee
  • 20 gram cashew nuts
  • 20 gram almonds
  • 10 gram pista
  • 10 gram charoli
  • 20 gram kharak
  • 20 gram Raisins
  • 10 gram poppy seeds
  • 50 gram Coconut
  • 120 gram Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 pinch saffron

  • STEP 1.Cut the nuts into halves

  • STEP 4.Toast the cardamom lightly and crush into powder

  • STEP 5.Add saffron in 2tbsp lukewarm milk as let it sit

  • STEP 6.Heat ghee in a pan

  • STEP 7.Add the nuts and berries

  • STEP 8.Add the poppy seeds and coconut

  • STEP 10.Fry until golden
