Ingredients for SHAHI PULAO Recipe

  • 1/2 Cup Basmati rice
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped carrot
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped onion
  • 1/2 Cup Matar
  • 1/2 Tsp Chopped green chilly
  • 0.13 Tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 Inch Cinnamon
  • 1 Pieces Cardamom
  • To Taste Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Clarified butter
  • As Required Saffron - few strands
  • 0.13 Cup Hot milk
  • 1 Tbsp Cashew nuts
  • 1 Tbsp Raisins
  • 1.50 Pieces Cloves
  • 1 Pieces Black pepper
  • 1/2 Pieces Star anise

Directions: Shahi Pulao Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash the basmati rice and soak for 30 mins.
  • STEP 2.Soak the saffron in hot milk.
  • STEP 3.Heat clarified butter in a pan,add cumin seeds,cinnamon,cardamom,cloves,black pepper,star anis and green chilly and saute for few seconds.
  • STEP 4.Add onion and saute for one to two mins,now add carrot and peas and saute.
  • STEP 5.Add soaked rice,salt and saffron milk and saute for 3 - 4 mins.
  • STEP 6.Add two cup of water and bring it to boil.
  • STEP 7.Cover it and simmer the flame and cook for ten mins.
  • STEP 8.Heat clarified butter in a pan.
  • STEP 9.Add cashew nut and fry till golden brown.
  • STEP 10.Add raisins and switch off the flame.
  • STEP 11.Garnish with fried cashew nuts and raisins serve hot.
