Ingredients for Semiya Upma(Vermicelli Upma) #Sree Recipe

  • 1 Tsp Oil
  • 1/2 Cups Vermicelli
  • As Required water
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tsp Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Mustard
  • 1/4 Tsp Urad Dal
  • 1/2 Tsp Chana dal
  • 1/2 Pieces Dried red chillies
  • As Required Curry leaves
  • Handful Peanuts
  • 1/2 Inch Ginger
  • 1 Tsp Onion(finely chopped)
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric
  • 1 Tbsp Peas
  • 1 Tbsp Carrot

Directions: Semiya Upma(vermicelli Upma) #sree Recipe

  • STEP 1.Firstly, in a kadai heat 3 tsp oil and splutter 1 tsp mustard, 1/,,2 urad dal, 1 tsp chana dal, 1 dried red chilli and few curry leaves . also add handful peanuts and roast till crunchy on low flame.
  • STEP 2.Now add 1 inch ginger and 2 green chilli, saute well. Further , add 2 tbsp onion and saute slightly. Also add 2 tbsp peas, 2 tbsp carrot and 2 tbsp beans. Saute for a minute.
  • STEP 3.Additionally, add 1/2 tsp turmeric and 1/2 tsp salt. Saute for a minute, cover and cook for minutes or till vegetables turn soft
  • STEP 4.Add in cooked Semiya and mix gently, do not over mix as semiya will get mashed, now add 2 tbsp coriander and mix well
  • STEP 5.Finally, serve Semiya upma for morning breakfast
