#FoodOcean Here is the special "Mom's Favourite" recipe which I would like to share with you all. I like everything prepared by her. But any type of chaat which she prepares for me and my brother has no competition in this world. She is obsessed with crispy chaat recipes. Be it papdi chaat, aloo chaat or tikki or dahi bhalle; she just loves chaat. Here we spend many a evening eating our favorite papdi chaat, relishing its magical, addictive flavours. It is a comforting food that warms the palate. Today I prepared semiya tikia chaat which can be best served with yogurt, green chutney, tomato sauce and tamarind chutney.

Ingredients for Semiya tikia chaat Recipe

  • 1/4 Cup Roasted semiya
  • 1/4 Cup All purpose flour
  • 0.13 Tsp Baking soda
  • 0.06 Tsp Carom seeds
  • As Required Salt
  • As Required water
  • 0.06 Cup Refined oil
  • 0.13 Cup Yogurt
  • 1/2 Tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp Tamarind chutney
  • 1/2 Tbsp green chutney
  • 0.06 Cup Sev
  • 1/2 Tbsp Pomegranate
  • 1/2 Tbsp Chopped guava
  • 1/4 Tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 Tsp Chaat masala
  • 0.06 Tsp Red chilli powder
  • A Pinch Black Salt

Directions: Semiya Tikia Chaat Recipe

  • STEP 1.Combine all purpose flour, baking soda, carom seeds, salt and water and make a dough.
  • STEP 2.Flatten them with hands to form their shape like poori and coat them with semiya.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a kadai.
  • STEP 4.Fry until both the sides are brown.
  • STEP 5.Now add yogurt, sauce and chutney.
  • STEP 6.Sprinkle the rest ingredients one by one. Serve immediately.
