Chinese scallion pancakes easy recipe prepared from wheat dough rolled and stuffed with Sichuan pepper, Chinese spice powder, and other seasoning ingredients. Pan-fried and served.
STEP 1.In a mixing bowl take 2 headed cups, whole wheat flour, and half tsp of salt. Make a dough.
STEP 2.Use a spoon to mix.
STEP 3.In a saucepan take 1.25 cups water and keep the pan on a medium flame and let it boil.
STEP 4.Once boiled add boiling hot water in flour and salt mixed in parts. Then add half cup more water.
STEP 5.Mix with spoon and let it absorb the water. Matters for the quality of the flour.
STEP 6.Start kneading the dough. Keep aside
STEP 7.Finely chop the scallion and toss it with some salt.
STEP 8.Take the dough portions and roll up to 8-10 inches. Spread or brush toasted sesame oil on the dough.
STEP 1.Sprinkle finely chopped spring onion and salt. add black pepper, green chilies, and spice. A pinch of Sichuan pepper and Chinese spice powder. Now roll from sides into a roll. Close the edges.
STEP 1.Hold the edges and stuffed dough around itself. Make spiral rolls and keep them aside. Start rolling from one roll.
STEP 9.Take a skillet pan and heat some oil. Add the pancake in the oil and cook from both sides. You can use any type of oil here.
STEP 10.Pancakes are ready.
