Ingredients for Savoury Vegetable Cake Recipe

  • 0.33 cup Sooji/ Rava
  • 0.33 cup Curd
  • 0.33 Pieces Chopped veggies of choice (onion
  • 0.33 Pieces Capsicum
  • 0.33 Pieces Carrot
  • 0.33 As Required Beetroot
  • As Required Cabbage
  • 0.33 As Required sweet corn)
  • 0.33 Tbsp inger and green chillies
  • 0.17 tsp Baking soda
  • 0.33 tsp Baking powder
  • To Taste Salt
  • As Required water
  • 0.33 Tsp Sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp Oil
  • 0.17 tsp each cumin and mustard seeds
  • A Few Curry leaves

Directions: Savoury Vegetable Cake Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Mix rava and curd and whisk to form a thick batter. Keep aside to rest for 10 mins.
  • STEP 2.2. Grease or line a loaf tin with parchment paper and pre heat the oven at 180 degree C for 10 mins.
  • STEP 3.3. Heat oil in a non stick pan and add cumin and mustard seeds. As soon as they splutter, add curry leaves and saute them.
  • STEP 4.4. After 10 mins, add the chopped veggies into your rava batter. Give it a mix.
  • STEP 5.5. In goes the salt, ginger and green chillies.
  • STEP 6.6. Add in the tadka, baking powder and baking soda.
  • STEP 7.7. Mix everything and add little water around 2-3 tbsp to get it into a batter like consistency.
  • STEP 8.8. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf tin. Sprinkle the top with some sesame seeds.
  • STEP 9.9. Bake in a preheated oven of 180°C for 45-50 mins or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
