Ingredients for Sarson Ka Saag Recipe

  • 300 gram mustard leaves
  • 80 gram spinach leaves
  • 50 gram methi leaves
  • 50 gram bathua leaves
  • 50 gram radish leaves
  • 65 gram chana dal
  • 1 No.s Turnip
  • 3 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 3 tablespoon Onion
  • 2 No.s chopped green chillies
  • 2 tablespoon chopped ginger
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour

Directions: Sarson Ka Saag Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 chop and wash the leaves in a bowl of water.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 boil some water in a pan and add chana dal and turnip to it. Cook it till the dal turns soft.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 now add the chopped leaves to the pan and cook for 5 minutes.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 take it out in a bowl and let it cool for a while.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 blend it into a smooth paste using a blender with a little water.

step 6

  • STEP 6.1 heat some ghee in a pan and add chopped garlic, onion, green chillies and chopped ginger.

step 7

  • STEP 7.2 once it gets slightly cooked add corn flour into it.

step 8

  • STEP 8.3 cook it for two minutes and add the prepared paste to it.

step 9

  • STEP 9.4 cook it for 10-12 minutes and your saag is ready to be cooke
