  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, red chili powder, asafoetida, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Add hot oil to the mixture and mix well to form a crumbly texture.
  • STEP 3.Gradually add water and knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
  • STEP 4.Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into thin circles.
  • STEP 5.Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the puris until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 6.Remove the puris from the oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
  • STEP 7.Allow the puris to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
  • STEP 8.Serve Saran puri/pudi as a snack with chutney or pickle.
