  • STEP 1.In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the chenna over low heat, stirring continuously.
  • STEP 2.Add sugar and cardamom powder to the chenna and mix well until the sugar dissolves.
  • STEP 3.Continue cooking the mixture until it thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  • STEP 4.Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  • STEP 5.Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into round or oval sandesh.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with pistachios or saffron strands.
  • STEP 7.Refrigerate for a few hours before serving to allow the sandesh to set.
