This is juvenile methi grown along the beach coast in Maharashtra predemonantly in Mumbai. While men go out fishing the lady folks grow this methi . It is very tasty bitter taste full on nutrition. One does not need salt and water to cook this. Simple tadak with or with out onion garlic will do.

Ingredients for Samudri Methi Stir fry from Mumbai Recipe

  • 0-1.67 nos Juvenile methi around bundles
  • As required two tsp oil
  • As required half tsp jeera.

Directions: Samudri Methi Stir Fry From Mumbai Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Open all the bundles.
  • STEP 2.2. With a scissors cut off the brown portion of the roots.
  • STEP 3.Dispose them.
  • STEP 4.Balance part put ina large kadai or trough with water.
  • STEP 5.Let it remain in there for 10 min.
  • STEP 6.Gently remove and keep aside
  • STEP 7.While discarding the water pls ensure the sand ollected down is not entering the pipes of your drainage as it will remain there and choke it. So discard everything but sand in different pouch.
  • STEP 8.Repeat the above process twice.
  • STEP 9.Chop the veg finely.
  • STEP 10.Heat oil in kadai .
  • STEP 11.Whne hot add jeera.
  • STEP 12.When it splutters add the veg and stir it for some time.
  • STEP 13.Soon water will start releasing.
  • STEP 14.Cook in open
  • STEP 15.Cook till all water is gone.
  • STEP 16.You wont need salt as its alredy having slat.
  • STEP 17.Seve with rotis.
