Directions: Saffron Paneer Tikka Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, mix together yogurt, saffron strands, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Add paneer cubes to the marinade and coat them well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • STEP 3.Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated paneer cubes onto skewers.
  • STEP 4.Grill or bake the paneer skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning them occasionally, until they are golden brown and slightly charred.
  • STEP 5.Serve the saffron paneer tikka hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.

Cooking Tips

  • Soak the saffron strands in warm milk for a few minutes before adding them to the marinade. This will help release the flavor and color of saffron.
  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes before threading the paneer cubes. This will prevent them from burning during grilling.
  • You can also add some diced bell peppers, onions, or cherry tomatoes to the skewers along with the paneer for added flavor and color.

Storage and Serving

  • Saffron paneer tikka is best served hot and fresh.
  • If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • To reheat, you can either grill them again for a few minutes or microwave them until heated through.
  • Serve the reheated tikka with mint chutney and enjoy!
