  • 250 gram Rohu Fish
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Marinate the fish with turmeric and salt. Pan-fry the fish until golden and set aside.
  • STEP 2.Grind poppy seeds and green chilies to form a smooth paste.
  • STEP 3.Heat mustard oil in a pan. Add the poppy seed paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the paste.
  • STEP 4.Add water to adjust the consistency of the curry. Bring it to a boil.
  • STEP 5.Gently add the pan-fried fish to the curry and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
  • STEP 6.Serve hot with steamed rice.

Storage and Serving

  • Rui Posto tastes best when served fresh.
  • Leftover curry can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat the curry in a pan or microwave before serving.
