Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and oil.
  • STEP 2.Gradually add water and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and pliable.
  • STEP 3.Divide the dough into small portions and roll out each portion into thin circles.
  • STEP 4.Heat a tawa or griddle and cook the rotis on both sides until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • STEP 5.In a separate bowl, mix together grated coconut, coriander leaves, green chilies, ginger, garlic, and lemon juice.
  • STEP 6.Spread the coconut mixture evenly on top of each roti.
  • STEP 7.Fold the rotis in half and serve hot as a snack or as a side dish with a main meal.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to roll out the rotis thinly to achieve a crispy texture.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
