Ingredients for Rose Mathri Recipe

  • 1/2 Cup all purpose flour( maida)
  • 1/2 Tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp carom seeds (Ajwain)
  • 0.13 Tbsp red chilly powder
  • 1 Tbsp Desi Ghee
  • As Required Water
  • As Required Oil for deep fry

Directions: Rose Mathri Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Take a bowl, add 2 cups all purpose flour ( maida), 1 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp Ajwain, 1/4 tbsp red chilly powder, 2 tbsp ghee and mix all the ingredients properly.
  • STEP 2.2. Make a slightly crumbled texture, start kneading the dough, add little water at a time and make a stiff dough.
  • STEP 3.3. Leave it for 20 mins.
  • STEP 4.4. After 20 mins, take a ball size dough, and make a semi- thick disc.
  • STEP 5.5. Take a small katori and cut it into 5 pieces in circular shape.
  • STEP 6.6. Now arrange these 5 rings one by one by applying little water at the end of each circle and press it gently.
  • STEP 7.7. Now roll it tightly and spread the petals gently to make a rose.
  • STEP 8.8. For deep frying, oil should not be too hot. Let it fry for 20 minutes till it get golden.
  • STEP 9.9. After 20 minutes, take out matri from oil.
  • STEP 10.10. Ready to serve.
