#snack Delicious, crunchy popular Indian dry snack recipe.. Chiwda usually made from flattened rice/ poha. Here I made chiwda using parboiled red rice & spices .

Ingredients for Red Rice Chiwda Recipe

  • 1/4 cup parboiled red rice
  • 3/4 tbsp Raw peanuts
  • 1/4 tbsp tbsp cashewnuts
  • 0.06 tsp Tumeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsps Sugar powder
  • 0.13 tsp Aamchur powder
  • to taste Salt to taste
  • as required Oil for frying

Directions: Red Rice Chiwda Recipe

  • STEP 1.First dry parboiled red rice in sun for 2 hours.
  • STEP 2.In mixing bowl add turmeric powder,red chilli powder, sugar powder,salt, aamchur powder and mix well. Keep aside.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in fry pan. As little smoke comes out.. add fistful of parboiled rice and fry till crispy.
  • STEP 4.Remove on seive. Similarly repeat the process for remaining red rice.
  • STEP 5.Fry cashewnuts & peanuts in hot oil till crispy golden.
  • STEP 6.In big mixing bowl add fried parboiled red rice, cashewnuts, peanuts and spices. Mix well.
  • STEP 7.Store in Airtight container.
  • STEP 8.Relish / Serve this delicious, crunchy red rice chiwda snack with tea or coffee.
