  • 1/2 gram roastedflour (besan)
  • 1/4 cup butter or ghee (melted)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp carom seeds (Ajwain)
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • As required A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
  • As required salt to taste
  • As required Water (as required)
  • As required Oil for deep frying
  • 4 pieces Chakali medium-sized ones)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter:
  • 0-1 tablespoons Green chutney: (coriander-mint chutney)
  • 0-1 tablespoons Tomato ketchup:
  • 0-1 nos Boiled potatoes: (sliced thinly)
  • As required Cucumber: Thin slices
  • As required Tomato: Thin slices
  • As required Onion: Thin slices (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat masala:
  • As required Grated cheese: Optional
  • As required For Garnish

Directions: Red Rice Chakli Sandwich Recipe

  • STEP 1.Chakali Base:
  • STEP 2.Take two chakalis for each sandwich.
  • STEP 3.2. Apply Butter and Spreads:
  • STEP 4.Spread butter on one side of each chakali.
  • STEP 5.Add green chutney on top of the butter layer for a tangy kick.
  • STEP 6.On the other chakali, spread tomato ketchup.
  • STEP 7.3. Layer the Filling:
  • STEP 8.Place a slice of boiled potato, tomato, cucumber, and onion on one chakali.
  • STEP 9.Sprinkle a pinch of chaat masala over the veggies for added flavor.
  • STEP 10.4. Assemble the Sandwich:
  • STEP 11.Place the other chakali (ketchup side down) over the veggie layer, creating a sandwich.
  • STEP 12.5. Optional Garnish:
  • STEP 13.Sprinkle some grated cheese over the top for extra indulgence.
