  • STEP 3.Cook the mixture on low heat for about 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the rice and lentils are well-cooked and the meat is tender.
  • STEP 4.Adjust the consistency by adding more water if needed.
  • STEP 5.Serve the Muslim Nombu Kanji hot, garnished with fried onions, chopped coriander leaves, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
