  • 0.17 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the kidney beans overnight and pressure cook until soft.
  • STEP 2.Drain the cooked kidney beans and mash them well.
  • STEP 3.In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed kidney beans, finely chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, coriander leaves, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
  • STEP 4.Mix everything well to form a dough-like mixture.
  • STEP 5.Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into round tikkis.
  • STEP 6.Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis until golden brown on both sides.
  • STEP 7.Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to soak the kidney beans overnight to ensure they cook properly.
  • You can add breadcrumbs or cornflour to the mixture if it is too soft to shape into tikkis.
