Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the red kidney beans overnight in water.
  • STEP 2.In a pressure cooker, cook the soaked beans with water, salt, and turmeric until tender.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, onions, and garlic. Saute until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add tomatoes, ginger, green chilies, and spices like cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the spices are well combined.
  • STEP 5.Add the cooked beans along with the cooking liquid to the tomato mixture. Simmer for a few minutes until the flavors meld together.
