  • 0.13 cup Rice Flour
  • 1/2 Ripe Raw Bananas, Mashed
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
  • 0.06 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Butter

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine ragi flour, rice flour, mashed raw bananas, red chili powder, sesame seeds, asafoetida, salt, and butter.
  • STEP 2.Mix well to form a soft dough. Add water if needed.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
  • STEP 4.Take a portion of the dough and shape it into a cylindrical shape. Press it through a muruku press into the hot oil.
  • STEP 5.Fry the murukus until golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 6.Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  • STEP 7.Allow them to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
  • STEP 8.Serve the Ragi and Raw Banana Muruku as a snack with tea or coffee.
