Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine quinoa, whole wheat flour, semolina, ginger paste, green chili paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, sugar, and oil.
  • STEP 2.Mix well and knead into a soft dough using water as needed.
  • STEP 3.Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into cylindrical rolls.
  • STEP 4.Steam the rolls in a steamer for about 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
  • STEP 5.Remove from the steamer and let them cool slightly.
  • STEP 6.Cut the rolls into small pieces and temper them with mustard seeds, sesame seeds, curry leaves, and asafoetida.
  • STEP 7.Heat oil in a pan and add the tempering ingredients.
  • STEP 8.Add the cut muthia pieces and sauté for a few minutes until they turn golden brown.
  • STEP 9.Serve hot with chutney or as a side dish.
