  • 1/2 Bay Leaves

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a large pot, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • STEP 2.In the same pot, brown the pork shoulder in batches. Remove and set aside.
  • STEP 3.Add onions, carrots, and garlic to the pot and cook until softened. Add tomato paste, thyme, and bay leaves.
  • STEP 4.Return the pork and bacon to the pot. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 2 hours.
  • STEP 5.Add white beans and cook for an additional 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
