Ingredients for Punjabi Chole Recipe

  • 1/4 cup soaked n boiled Chole
  • 1/4 tsp Jeera
  • 1/2 nos green chilli
  • 1/2 nos onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 nos tomatoes finely chopped/ puree
  • 0-1/4 tbsp living beyond chole masala
  • 1/4 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • As required Salt
  • As required Oil (fortune rice bran oil)
  • As required Water
  • As required For Garnish
  • As required Oil
  • As required Ginger juliens
  • As required Green chilli long slit
  • As required red chilli powder
  • As required Coriander leaves

Directions: Punjabi Chole Recipe

  • STEP 1.Soak chole overnight.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook chole with spices( clove, cinnamon, elaichi, tea powder tied in small cloth). Cook till 4-5 whistle.
  • STEP 3.Chop onion, tomato, green chilli, coriander leaves. Make ginger garlic paste. Keep aside.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in kadai. Add jeera, green chilli, onion saute till onion is light brown, add ginger garlic paste, saute for some time, then add tomato, cook till they are soft.
  • STEP 5.Add chole masala, red chilli powder, salt, saute till oil leaves sides. Add boiled Chole( remove the cloth), water according to ur consistency.
  • STEP 6.Let it boil n cook for 5-10 min
  • STEP 7.For Garnish/ tadka
  • STEP 8.Heat oil in small pan add green chilli, ginger, switch off the flame then add red chilli powder.
  • STEP 9.Pour on chole. Garnish with coriander leaves.
