Ingredients for Mint Rice Recipe

  • 1/4 cup Mint leaves, tightly packed. stems removed and cleaned
  • 1/4 gram Onion chopped and divided. approx, 270 we will be using one half for the pudina paste and the other half while sauteing
  • 1/2 As required Green chilies
  • 0.56 As required Tsps salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 0.03 teaspoon Asafoetida skip for a gluten free version
  • 1.25 Curry leaves
  • 1/4 cup Raw rice i used sona masoori rice. but you can use basmati as well
  • 0.63 cup Water divided. 2 cups to cook the rice and 1/2 cup for preparing the pudina paste
