Potato Pancakes or Aloo cheela is a very flavourful, mouthwatering dish. Prepared from potatoes, cornflour, gram flour, green chili, and spring onions.
Ingredients for Potato Pancakes/Aloo Cheela Recipe
1.50 No.s Potato
1 tablespoon corn flour
1 tablespoon gram flour
1/4 teaspoon pepper, crushed
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/2 No.s green chilli, finely chopped
1 tablespoon spring onion, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 tablespoon oil for roasting
Directions: Potato Pancakes/aloo Cheela Recipe
STEP 1.Take 3 large potatoes, peel the skin and grate it.
STEP 2.Soak grated potato for 5 minutes.
STEP 3.Now drain the grated potatoes and remove all the water.
STEP 4.Add 2 tbsp of corn flour and 2 tbsp of gram flour.
STEP 5.Then add ½ tsp of crushed pepper, ½ tsp of cumin, 1 green chilli, 2 tbsp spring onion and ½ tsp salt.
STEP 6.Combine everything well, and check the batter consistency, if the batter still is thin add some more flour.
STEP 7.In a hot pan drop a full tablespoon of potato mixture.
STEP 8.Spread as thin as possible.
STEP 9.Pour a tsp of oil around the corners of the pancake.
STEP 10.Roast the pancake on low to medium flame.
STEP 11.Flip over and cook both sides till the pancakes turns golden and crisp.
STEP 12.Serve on a plate and enjoy.
