  • 2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 2.25 Damom Pods, Crushed
  • pinch A Pinch Of Saffron Strands

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a pan, heat milk and bring it to a boil.
  • STEP 2.Add crushed cardamom pods and saffron strands to the milk.
  • STEP 3.Break the leftover pooris into small pieces and add them to the milk.
  • STEP 4.Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • STEP 5.Add sugar and mix well until it dissolves completely.
  • STEP 6.Continue to cook for another 5 minutes until the kheer thickens.
  • STEP 7.Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with chopped nuts and serve chilled.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to use leftover pooris that are not too oily.
  • You can adjust the sweetness of the kheer according to your taste by adding more or less sugar.
  • For a richer flavor, you can also add a tablespoon of condensed milk to the kheer.
