Ingredients for Pindi Chhole Recipe

  • 50 g White chickpeas or white chana
  • 1/4 Pieces Amlas(gooseberry)
  • 1/4 Pieces Onion
  • 1/4 g Piece ginger
  • 1 g 4-6 pods of g
  • 1 Pieces Tomatoes
  • 5.75 g reen Chilli
  • 1/2 Tbsp tb sp chopped coriander leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • 0.06 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 0.06 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.13 tsp Coriander seeds powder
  • 0.06 tsp Garam masala
  • 0.13 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 0.13 tsp Chana masala
  • 1/2 g tb sp cooking oil

Directions: Pindi Chhole Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Wash and soak 1 bowl white chana overnight.
  • STEP 2.2. Boil chana with 2-3 amlas in a pressure cooker.
  • STEP 3.3. Grind 1 onion, 1"piece ginger, 4 tomatoes and 4-6 pods of garlic in a mixer.
  • STEP 4.4. Heat cooking oil in a wok and add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put grinded onion Tomato paste and roast till oil leaves the karahi.
  • STEP 5.5. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander seeds powder, garam masala and chana masala. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • STEP 6.6. Add boiled chana and adjust the consistency of mixture by adding water.
  • STEP 7.7. Cook on low flame for 10 minutes. Switch off the flame.
  • STEP 8.8. Serve hot garnished with chilli and tomato slices with puri or rice.
