Ingredients for Pavakka Mezhukupuratti Recipe

  • 3 Thinly sliced bitter gourd medium
  • 1 Thinly sliced shallots large
  • 3 No.s Sliced green chilli
  • 1/4 piece Coconut cup
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • sprig Curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • As required Salt

Directions: Pavakka Mezhukupuratti Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.heat 2 tsp oil on a wide non stick pan.

step 2

  • STEP 1.add 3 green chilies split in half, ¼ cup of coconut bits, 1 sprig of curry leaves and1 thinly sliced onion.

step 3

  • STEP 1.saute the ingredients till the onion turns golden brown.

step 4

  • STEP 1.add ¼ tsp turmeric powder and saute for a minute.

step 5

  • STEP 1.add 3 thinly sliced bitter gourd and a pinch of salt to taste.

step 6

  • STEP 1.mix well all the ingredients and cook with a lid for 5-6 minutes till the bitter gourd is half cooked.

step 7

  • STEP 1.then add 1 tsp of coconut oil and a few curry leaves.

step 8

  • STEP 1.stir -cook till the bitter gourd turns pale brown.
