  • STEP 1.Wash and cook the lentils until soft.
  • STEP 2.In a separate pan, roast the coconut until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Grind the roasted coconut with spices to make a paste.
  • STEP 4.Add the lentils to the paste and mix well.
  • STEP 5.Heat oil in a pan and temper with mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dried red chilies.
  • STEP 6.Add the lentil mixture to the pan and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 7.Serve hot with rice or roti.
