MohanBhog sweet is quite similar to sooji halwa. I prepared the dish combines ripe papaya and semolina(suji).MohanBhoj prepared as a prasad offering to lord Krishna(also known as Mohan).MohanBhoj is most commonly served with luchi.

Ingredients for Papaya Suji Mohonbhog#BSK Recipe

  • 0.33 Pieces Ripe papaya
  • 0.17 Cup Semolina
  • 1.33 Tbsp Ghee
  • 0.33 Tbsp Sliced almonds
  • 0.33 Tbsp Kaju/cashews
  • 0.33 Tbsp Kismish
  • 0.08 Tsp Pods Crushed Cardamom
  • To Taste Sugar
  • 0.17 Litre Milk

Directions: Papaya Suji Mohonbhog#bsk Recipe

  • STEP 1.Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze the juice.
  • STEP 2.Heat 2tbsp ghee and fry semolina.
  • STEP 3.Heat ghee and fry cashew nuts and almonds.
  • STEP 4.Stir in the papaya pulp in ghee and make it a little thicker.
  • STEP 5.Add milk and semolina. Stir constantly with milk and semolina.
  • STEP 6.When it becomes quite thick, add cashew nuts, almonds, raisins and sugar.
  • STEP 7.When it is dark, mix cardamom powder and serve cold.
