Sri Lankan sweet dish made with rice flour. Pani appa is paper thick and sweet in taste made with rice flour and thick coconut milk.

Ingredients for Pani Appa Recipe

  • 2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 500 gram rice flour
  • 1.50 tablespoon Yeast
  • As required Water
  • 2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup honey
  • pinch Salt
  • As required Jaggery

Directions: Pani Appa Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a bowl take rice flour, sugar and yeast.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 gradually add water to this mixture and keep aside for 2-3 hours.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 now add thick coconut milk, honey, salt and mix it well.

step 4

  • STEP 4.1 heat a pan, tale it off the flame, add ½ a cup batter to it and spread it all over the pan.

step 5

  • STEP 5.2 keep it on the stove, sprinkle some jaggery, cover it and cook for a few seconds.

step 6

  • STEP 6.3 take your pani appa out using a wooden spatula and it is ready to be served
