This is a fragrant and lightly spiced paneer pulao made with freshly ground pulao masala which really brings in a lot of flavor and aroma in the recipe.
1/2 Black cardamom seeds removed and husks discarded
1-1.50 Green cardamom kept whole or seeds removed
1-1.50 Cloves
1/2 inch Cinnamon
1/2 Single strand of mace
piece A small piece of stone flower
3/4 cup Basmati rice or pulao rice
125-150 gram Paneer
1/2 Medium to large onion, thinly sliced
0.17 cup Peas optional
1 tablespoon Ghee or oil for the pulao
1-1.50 teaspoon Ghee or oil for pan frying the paneer
1.50-1.63 cup Water
1/4 inch Ginger + 2 to 3 garlic cloves + 1 green chilli crushed in a mortar pestle to a paste
1/2 Tej patta
1/2-0.63 teaspoon Lemon juice
3/4-1 tablespoon Chopped mint leaves
