STEP 1.1 take a bowl and add ¾ cup grated coconut, salt to taste, ¼ tsp cumin seeds. Mix well. Add 1 cup roasted rice flour. Mix well with your hand.

STEP 2.2 gradually add 1 cup boiled water and mix it with a spoon. When the heat becomes manageable, mix it with your hand. Let it rest for 5 mins.

STEP 3.3 take a piece of banana leaf and place a small portion of dough on it. Spread the dough evenly with your fingers in a circular shape.

STEP 4.4 put/paste another piece of banana leaf on top to cover the dough.

STEP 5.5 repeat step 3-4 for the rest of the dough.

STEP 6.6 heat a tawa in medium flame. Once it is hot, place the ada.
step 7
STEP 7.7 do not cover the tawa. Flip it when one side is done(when the leaf detaches from the dough). It will take 10mins for both sides to cook i.e 5mins for each side.

STEP 8.8 take it out from tawa. Ottada is ready to be served.
