A flavourful and one pot chicken dish which is prepared with minimal spices and very easy to prepare, it’s One Pot Chicken Rice.
Served this yummy dish with Beetroot Raita and Salad.
STEP 1.Chicken marination, marinade with curd , salt , 1 tsp red chilli powder for 30 - 45 minutes.
STEP 2.Assemble all other ingredients
STEP 3.In moderately heated pan add oil, add cumin seeds and all whole spices, Allow to crackle and add chopped onion and sauté till translucent, then add ginger garlic and sauté till onion turns golden brown.
STEP 4.Now add coriander powder + turmeric + chilli powder and stir fry masala leaves oil.
STEP 5.Now add marinaded chicken and stir fry under medium flame for 7-8 minutes.
STEP 6.Add left over curd mixture by adding 3-4 tbsp water + garam masala + salt and stir fry for 4-5 minutes.
STEP 7.Now add milk + water + green chilli + salt (as required) and cook for 4-5 minutes.
STEP 8.Lower flame and cook for 2-3 minutes.
STEP 9.Add soaked rice and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes under medium to high flame.
STEP 10.Now lower flame, cover and cook for 15 - 20 minutes. Check in between by mixing gently. Lastly add ghee, mix well and keep in stand by for 2-3 minutes.
STEP 11.Dish is ready to serve.
STEP 12.Serve hot hot with raita and salad
