Often fondly referred as the 'fry-up', the full english breakfast is among the most internationally recognized british dishes along with staples such as shepherd's pie, fish 'n chips and roast beef. It typically includes bacon, sausages, eggs, baked beans, toast, grilled tomatoes & mushrooms, along with a beverage such as coffee or tea. Each country in the uk has its own name for this breakfast like-'a full scottish breakfast', 'a full welsh breakfast' etc and interestingly, also their own respective choices of delicious accompaniments as well, such as hash-browns, scones or black pudding. They are all different variations of the same dish-a full english breakfast. A good breakfast should be three things-nutritious, filling and quick to make. A full english breakfast ticks all of these check-boxes very well. This is one of the most essential meal-options that i have learnt during our two year stay in britain. On those mornings when hubby has to rush to office early and i do not have time to make 'poha' or 'sabudana khichdi' and other regular breakfast options for him, a quick fry-up ensures that he gets a delicious wholesome breakfast before leaving the house and doesn't feel hungry for a long time at work. Not to forget, it's amazing that you can make it all in one pan! try it friends, and as they say in the uk-"tuck in!!".
