Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a large bowl, crumble the cottage cheese and knead it well until smooth.
  • STEP 2.Heat a non-stick pan on low heat and add the date palm jaggery. Stir until it melts and forms a syrup.
  • STEP 3.Add the crumbled cottage cheese to the pan and mix well. Cook on low heat, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  • STEP 4.Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  • STEP 5.Grease your palms with ghee and shape the mixture into small sandesh balls or any desired shape.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with chopped nuts and refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
  • STEP 7.Serve chilled and enjoy the creamy and delicious Nolen Gurer Sandesh!
