Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Marinate the mutton pieces with yogurt, turmeric powder, and salt for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add the marinated mutton. Cook until the mutton is browned.
  • STEP 3.In a blender, blend together mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, ginger, and garlic to make a smooth paste.
  • STEP 4.Add the paste to the pressure cooker and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 5.Add the remaining spices like coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 6.Add water and pressure cook for about 20 minutes or until the mutton is tender.
  • STEP 7.Once cooked, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • For a more intense flavor, you can roast the whole spices like cumin seeds and coriander seeds before grinding them.
