Ingredients for Nikuman Recipe

  • As required Bread Dough
  • 100 milliliter Warm Water
  • 2 teaspoon Yeast
  • 200 gram All purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoon Oil
  • As required Filling
  • 200 gram ground pork
  • 2 dried Shiitake mushrooms, rehydrated and chopped finely
  • 50 gram water chestnuts, chopped finely
  • 2 green onions, chopped finely
  • 1 teaspoon ginger root. grated
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sake
  • 2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Directions: Nikuman Recipe

  • STEP 1.For the dough , mix yeast with warm water and let it sit for 5mins
  • STEP 2.In a separate bowl mix the flour, sugar and baking powder. Mix yeast water and dry ingredients with oil during a stand mixer employing a dough hook for 10 minutes or until the dough becomes elastic and smooth.
  • STEP 3.Shape the dough into a ball and put it back in the bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise for 30-40 minutes until doubled
  • STEP 4.Chop the vegetables well
  • STEP 5.Cut the prepared dough into 8 equal pieces and shape each into a ball. Roll a ball 1/8 of the meat mixture in the middle of the dough. Pinch the dough to wrap the filling, and shape into a ball.
  • STEP 6.Steam the balls and serve
