STEP 1.heat ghee & margarine in a rice pot at medium flame

STEP 1.then add lemongrass,shallots,onions,garlic,ginger and saute it.

STEP 1.add star anise,clove,cardamom pods, cinnamon and stir until fragrant

STEP 1.add a knotted pandan into the pot and saute for 30 secs and then add rice.

STEP 1.now add evaporated milk,water,a pinch of salt in the pot.

STEP 1.once it starts boiling,cover it and cook for 15 mins at low flame.

STEP 1.turn off the gas and mix 2 tbsp water and turmeric powder thoroughly into the cooked rice

STEP 1.lastly,garnish it with fresh coriander leaves,cover and let it rest for 10 mins.
