  • 1/2 cup Basmati Rice
  • 100 gram Mushrooms, Sliced
  • 1/2 Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 cup Water
  • as per your need Fresh Cilantro For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the basmati rice for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a large pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and turn golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Add the spices - turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 6.Add the soaked rice and gently mix it with the mushroom mixture.
  • STEP 7.Pour in water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and fluffy.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with raita or a side salad.
