  • 200 gram Mushrooms
  • 1 cup Rajma beans
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 4 Garlic chopped cloves
  • 1 Onion chopped Nos
  • 1 Red pepper chopped Nos
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1/4 cup Tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Eggless mayonnaise
  • As required Olive oil to toast the buns
  • As required Burger buns
  • As required Cucumber slices for the sloppy joe
  • As required Onion slices for the sloppy joe
  • As required Eggless mayonnaise for the sloppy joe

Directions: Mushroom And Bean Sloppy Joe/burger Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Soak 1 cup rajma beans overnight and pressure cook with a little salt for 20 to 30 minutes until soft.
  • STEP 2.saute till the onions and mushroom are soft and the aromas of the sauteed garlic are released.do not over cook the mushroom. Do not add salt at this time as the salt will cause the mushrooms to release a lot of moisture. And become soggy.
  • STEP 3.add 1 cup cooked rajma beans, 1tbsp sriracha sauce for spice (optional),¼ cup tomato puree, 1 tsp brown sugar. Mix well to combine all the ingredients in the pan.
  • STEP 4.stir fry on high heat for a few seconds. Before adding any salt do a taste test as the rajma and the sriracha sauce already have some salt.
  • STEP 5.preheat a flat pan and drizzle some olive oil. Cut the burger buns open and palace then open saide down onto the pan. Drizzle a little oil over the top and flip them over so that they toast and crisp on both sides.
