A very easy and instant dish prepared from drumsticks & tamarind water. Make a masala paste with spices and the masala paste adds a lot of flavour and richness to the curry. Drumsticks are the traditional choice of veggie for kara kuzhambu. Use drumsticks and brinjal in it. This recipe can be made quick in a pressure cooker with homemade tamarind paste.

  • 1 tablespoon Groundnut oil
  • 3 Drumsticks
  • 1 No.s Gooseberry sized tamarind
  • 1.50 cup Water
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • 1/2 cup Shallot
  • 1 Tomato

step 1

  • STEP 1.Add sesame oil in a cooking pot & heat it. Now add mustard seeds and urad dal. Add crushed garlic and onion. Add green chillies, asafoetids, fenugreek, oil, Tomatoes, smambar powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, fried drumsticks and tamarind water. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
