Ingredients for Muri Ghonto (Rice with fish head) Recipe
0.67 pieces Rohu fish head
0.33 cup Gobindobhog Rice (Basmati Rice can also be used)
0.33 pieces Potato
0.67 pieces Onion chopped
0.67 tsp Ginger garlic paste
0.33 tsp Turmeric powder
0.33 tsp Garam masala powder
0.33 tsp cumin powder/ jeera powder
0.33 tsp Red chili powder
0.33 tbsp Sugar
as required Oil
0.33 tsp Ghee
to taste Salt
Directions: Muri Ghonto (rice With Fish Head) Recipe
STEP 1.1. Wash the Fish head and cut into two halves and rub some turmeric powder and salt to the fish head and fry them in oil and keep aside.
STEP 2.2. Wash Rice properly and keep it.
STEP 3.3. Add oil and ghee in pan cut Potatoes into small cubes and fry them, then add chopped onions.
STEP 4.4. Cook for around 5 minutes on medium flame or till the onions turn golden brown in color. Now add Ginger-Garlic Paste and saute
STEP 5.5. Add rice to the mixture and saute on medium flame for about 5 minutes.
STEP 6.Then add Turmeric Powder, Cumin Powder, Red Chilli powder, Sugar, garam masala powder and also salt.
STEP 7.6. Break the fried Fish head into small pieces and add and mix everything properly
STEP 8.7. Add 2 Cups of Water and cover the pan with a lid and cook for around 15 minutes on low flame or till rice and potatoes cooked completely. Serve hot.
