This is my favourite soup and its srilankans national soup too. I first tasted this soup in anjappar restaraunt and loved it. Now this is the soup i order every time. Saw the recipe from samayal samayal cookshow by chef venkatesh bhat.

  • 0.40 tablespoon Oil
  • 0.40 Big onion sliced
  • 20 gram Dessicated coconut
  • 1/5 green apple sliced
  • 4 gram Jeera
  • 3 gram jeera powder
  • 4 gram Whole black peppercorns
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/10 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/5 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 3 gram sugar around
  • As required salt as needed
  • 1/5 coriander stems chopped fistful
  • 1/5 Curry leaves fistful
  • 0.40 Green chillies sliced
  • 20 milliliter Milk
  • 1/5 teaspoon Curry powder
  • 1/5 Lime juice from lemon
  • As required Cooked rice for garnish
