Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Marinate the meat with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
  • STEP 2.In a large pot, heat ghee and add whole spices like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and bay leaves. Fry until fragrant.
  • STEP 3.Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add the marinated meat and cook until it is tender and cooked through.
  • STEP 5.In a separate pot, parboil the basmati rice with whole spices and salt. Drain the rice and layer it over the cooked meat.
  • STEP 6.Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid and cook on low heat for about 30-40 minutes, allowing the biryani to cook in its own steam.
