  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Green Chilies, Slit
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • as needed Chopped Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the moth beans for 4-5 hours.
  • STEP 2.Drain the water and pressure cook the beans with water, turmeric powder, and salt for 3-4 whistles.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and oil separates.
  • STEP 5.Add the cooked moth beans along with the water and mix well. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the flavors blend together.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
