  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0.06 g aram masala powder
  • 0.13 tsp Fennel
  • 3/4 tsp Coriender leaves
  • 1/4 inch Pinch asafoetida

Directions: Moong Dal Pakoras Recipe

  • STEP 1.First of all, clean the lentils and wash them with good water two to three times. Put lentils and three glasses of water in a bowl and keep it soaked for 4 to 5 hours. Drain the water from the soaked lentils and take them out in a bowl.
  • STEP 2.Make a fine paste by adding washed lentils, green chilies and salt in 2 mixer jars. If required, add water to it. Take out this batter in a bowl, add gram flour, red chili powder, asafoetida, green coriander finely chopped and garam masala powder and mix it well. Beat the solution very well with the help of a whisk, so that the solution swells. This will make the dumplings crispy. Do not keep the dumpling batter too thick.
  • STEP 3. Put oil in a pan and heat it on medium heat. When the oil is hot, with the help of a spoon or by hand, make round dumplings and leave them in the oil. When the dumplings come up in the oil, then turn them over with the help of a spoon. After frying from the other side, fry it till it turns golden brown.
  • STEP 4.In the same way make all the battered dumplings. Wash green chilies and wipe them with a dry cloth and fry them in hot oil by making a lengthwise incision. Sprinkle chaat masala on the prepared dumplings and chillies. Ginger Tea for Crispy Lentil Dumplings with ginger tea and sweet chilli sauce.
